Steven W. Hallford

Steven W. Hallford, 63, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at his residence in Lafayette. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Steven was born Thursday, October 13, 1949 in Casa Grande, AZ and was a resident of Colorado, Texas, Arizona and Louisiana for the last 25 years. He worked as a Landman in the oil industry for many years.

He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing the guitar as well as writing music. Steven was viewed as a lovable anomaly because of his unique ability to walk to the beat of his own drum. He was a loving and supportive son, father, grandfather and brother and will be deeply missed.

Mr. Hallford is survived by his mother, Sue Davis; stepfather, George Davis both of Lafayette; a son, Jamaen Hallford; three daughters, Vanessa Mizak and her husband, Jason all of Denver, CO, Whitney Hallford and Lacey Hallford both of Lafayette; a stepson, Taj Allen of Denver, CO; two sisters, Karen Dee Trout and her husband, Jim of Loveland, CO and Auna Kristi Hallford of Lafayette; three brothers, Kimaron Stuart Hallford and his wife, Karen of Englewood, CO, Sam Lee Allen and his wife, Lydia of Tulsa, OK and Joel Kay Allen of Lafayette; two grand daughters, Ashlynn Fielders of Lafayette and Skylar Mizak of Denver, CO and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sanford Hallford and sister, Rebecca Lynn Root.
